The Red Devils are expected to choose a new manager in the summer, with interim manager Ralf Rangnick failing to impress sufficiently to be considered for the permanent job.
Pochettino has long been a target for United, and they could make a play for him at the conclusion of the season if Ronaldo moves in the opposite direction.
Despite signing a contract that runs until 2023, PSG are sure that Ronaldo will be open to leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season, according to the Mirror.
Since his return to Manchester United, the Portuguese superstar has scored 14 goals in all competitions, but the club has struggled to put together consistent performances or results, with any trophy seeming improbable this season.
PSG would love to bring Ronaldo to France, especially since Kylian Mbappe’s contract is set to expire at the conclusion of the season.
If PSG does not win the Champions League this season, the Ligue 1 club may be content to let Pochettino leave because Zinedine Zidane is being courted to replace him.
Ronaldo and Zidane enjoyed a fruitful partnership at Real Madrid and could do so again in Paris.
A Ronaldo departure would also alleviate a difficult scenario for Pochettino, who would want to play a high-energy style of football that would be unsuitable for the 37-year-old.
In addition, Ronaldo would reunite with his old nemesis Lionel Messi and Neymar at PSG, possibly under Zidane’s supervision, which would be showbiz to say the least.
