On Wednesday night, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer returned to Manchester United’s support.
It was the first sighting of the Norwegian since his dismissal as manager in December.
Karna Solskjaer, Solskjaer’s daughter, played for the United women’s Under-21 team.
Karna scored in a 5-0 cup thumping of Aston Villa at J Davidson Stadium in Altrincham as her father looked on.
After the game, Solskjaer was photographed with Maria Edwards, who also scored during the win.
The WSL Academy Cup has advanced United’s U-21 team to the next round.
Solskjaer’s teenage daughter, who was born in 2003, has been in excellent form for United’s Under-21s team this season, scoring 13 goals in 12 games.
Karna, like her father, is a striker who joined United’s women’s academy in 2019. She played for local teams in Norway while he was manager of Molde, and then went to England in 2018 when he became manager of Old Trafford.
