Football: Despite his growing links with PSG, Zinedine Zidane is still waiting for the France national team job

Since his departure from Los Blancos in May 2021, the former Les Bleus international has been without a role.

If Mauricio Pochettino decides to leave PSG for Manchester United, the 49-year-old is rumored to be the club’s top target this summer.

Pochettino is under contract until the conclusion of the 2022/23 season, but a return to the Premier League at Old Trafford could tempt him.

Despite being offered a lucrative contract in Paris, Zidane is reportedly holding out for the top post in French football, according to RMC Sport.

Didier Deschamps guided France to World Cup triumph in 2018, but his current contract expires after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Zidane has shown an interest in managing his country in the future, but he will not seek to replace Deschamps before the World Cup.
