Conte gives PSG conditions to replace Pochettino. Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has set criteria for taking over from Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite winning the Ligue 1 title last weekend, Pochettino is set to quit the club.
The Argentine has struggled to win over fans and has failed to get past the Champions League’s last 16.
Conte gives PSG conditions to replace Pochettino. Despite reports that PSG has chosen Zinedine Zidane as his preferred replacement for Pochettino, Conte has offered his services to the club.
Despite the fact that the Italian coach only joined Tottenham in November, he has raised doubts about his long-term future at the club.
Conte’s contract with the Premier League club only lasts until 2023.
According to French radio station RMC Sport, Conte would be very interested in taking over at the Parc des Princes, but he has a list of very demanding conditions PSG must agree to.
The former Inter Milan boss is demanding almost double his wages to a whopping €30million (£25.2m) per year. This will make his the second highest-paid manager in the world behind Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone.
Conte also wants to bring his entire coaching staff with him and that includes picking his own sporting director.
He would want more control over transfers than any of the club’s previous managers over the past decade.
