FOOTBALL: Chelsea is warned about a’real problem’ with Man United and Tuchel, as Abramovich walks away.

Peter Crouch, a former Liverpool striker, has warned Chelsea that if Thomas Tuchel, the Blues’ manager, is unsettled at Stamford Bridge, they could face a “real problem” if Manchester United pounce.

Chelsea is facing a period of uncertainty following the UK government’s imposition of sanctions on Roman Abramovich on Thursday, and there have been suggestions that Man United could look to bring Tuchel to Old Trafford in the summer.

Man United currently have Ralf Rangnick in charge on an interim basis until the end of the season and are on the lookout for a permanent manager.

Tuchel has been so impressive during his 13 months at Chelsea, but Crouch believes the West London club could have a “real problem” on their hands.

“From a player’s perspective, we focus on the football side of things.” “It was a very trying time for everyone,” Crouch said on BT Sport.

“If that happens at Chelsea, with Thomas Tuchel, if he’s unsettled and someone like Manchester United sense he’s unsettled and go for him, then you have got a real problem.”
