Anderson Arroyo Has Signed A New Contract And Completed A Loan Move. Liverpool defender Anderson Arroyo has signed a new contract and completed a loan move to the Spanish side Alaves.
The 22-year-old joined the Reds in January 2018 from Colombian side Fortaleza CEIF but is yet to make an appearance for the club having completed various loan spells across Europe. Last season, he joined CD Mirandes and made 42 appearances in all competitions for the club.
He’s also spent time at Real Mallorca, KAA Gent, FK Mlada Boleslav, and Salamanca CF as he works to obtain a work permit. Now he’ll continue his development in La Liga 2 with Alaves.
Arroyo joined the Reds aged 18 and hopes to one day play for the club, following in the footsteps of compatriot Luis Diaz. The winger signed for Liverpool earlier this year, joining from the Portuguese side Porto.
Arroyo said in an interview with liverpool.com in February: “Liverpool have always been attentive to me while out on loan.
“I want to establish myself in European football and hopefully one day stay at Liverpool.”
