Arsenal’s team has seen significant transformations, and the club’s rebuilding may be nearing completion during the summer transfer window.
This winter, Arsenal let Calum Chambers, Sead Kolasinac, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave the club permanently.
With Eddie Nketiah, Alexandre Lacazette, and Mohamed Elneny all having their contracts expire this summer, more departures are expected. Mikel Arteta, on the other hand, has a core group of players with whom he wants to develop at Arsenal.
Transfers are being made, but Arteta has made existing players like Emile Smith-Rowe, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli important to what he views as the team’s future.

After breaking through under Unai Emery, Arsenal was able to persuade Martinelli to sign a new contract with the club in 2020.
Due to an initial injury, his debut under Mikel Arteta was not as promising. Arteta, on the other hand, took his time with the 20-year-old before really releasing him this campaign.
Martinelli, like Saka, will be out of contract in the summer, with the club having the option of extending his contract for another year.
The objective, though, is to extend Martinelli’s contract long beyond his present deal in order to safeguard the Gunners’ top players’ futures.
In a number of interviews, Jurgen Klopp has expressed his appreciation for Martinelli, most recently after Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Arsenal in the League Cup semi-final.
“We will talk about this player in the future, Little Martinelli,” Klopp promised.

“Martinelli will have a proper career if he avoids injuries, particularly big injuries.”
Most clubs, including Liverpool, can offer Martinelli a large sum of money as an incentive, but Arsenal intends to give him something that money cannot buy.
Martinelli, a wide left forward with aspirations for a center striking role, matches the mold and history of the number.
It might be the impetus for talks to persuade the young star to commit his long-term future to the club, allowing Mikel Arteta to return and re-establish the Gunners in Europe’s top flight.
Martinelli is viewed as an important gear in Arteta’s machine. If Arsenal can keep their stars, unlike during Arsene Wenger’s financially strained years, and add the world-class talent that Edu mentioned during the summer window of 2021, it will be a step in the right way.
