Amy said during the Oscars in late March that the Oscar winner “had done so much to fight climate change and leave behind a cleaner, greener planet for his girlfriends,” referring to his practice of dating younger women.

“Leonardo DiCaprio is so enthusiastic about climate change because he wants to leave a better word for his girlfriends (sic),” wrote Nicole Conlan, a writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, in a tweet in December.

On Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Trainwreck actress addressed the accusation.

“Well, I’d want to state that I haven’t used Twitter personally.” “I’ve delegated it to my assistant so that I can stay alive and not kill myself,” she explained. “Also, that joke was penned by Suli McCullough (Oscars co-writer).”

“I’m hilarious enough, I don’t need to steal s**t,” she continued. But I always appreciate you people making sure I don’t start stealing.”

In Vanity Fair’s lie detector test video series, which was released earlier this week, the 40-year-old even mentioned being asked if she had ever stolen a joke. The moderator confirmed that she was telling the truth when she said “no.”

“They asked me, thank God, ‘Have you ever stolen a joke?’ and I said no, and it was ‘that’s true’,” she stated. “Everybody just chill.”
