The K-pop group’s much-loved 2020 music video for Dynamite has topped 1.4 billion views on YouTube, and BTS is making headlines with its recent exploits.
The stunning music video just set a new record for becoming the fastest film by a South Korean pop group to surpass a million views. BLACKPINK’s DDU DU DDU DU, which had topped the charts for the first time in two years and five months, has been dethroned by the video.
The septet is also the first and only Korean artist to have three separate music videos on the site reach the 1.4 billion mark. In terms of views, BTS’ Boy With Luv and DNA have previously surpassed this mark.
The group’s all-English track secured record-breaking three million views when it was premiered. It also set-up a new record in Guinness World Records for becoming reaching 10 million views with in 20 minutes of its release.
It also became the most watched YouTube video within 24 hours of its unveiling as it crossed 101.1 million views in a day.
