Rebel Wilson Has Said A Male Co-Star Sexually Harassed Her Several Years Ago. The 42-year-old Pitch Perfect star said that the incident occurred before the #MeToo movement when there was an outpouring of similar stories.

In an interview with US publication People, the Australian star said: “He called me into a room and pulled down his pants.”

“It was awful and disgusting,” she said.

Wilson, who is currently starring in the Netflix film Senior Year, said that the unnamed actor then tried to ruin her career.

“And all the behavior afterwards – this was all before #MeToo – where they kind of tried to destroy me and my career,” she continued.

“If it had happened after #MeToo, then I could have just blasted them.”

The actress originally trained as a lawyer, so she documented every detail of the harassment before informing her representative and other people in the industry.

“Because I’m a lawyer, I documented it,” she said. “I called my rep. I got certain things in writing about what happened.

“Definitely amongst industry circles, I made sure people knew what happened.”

Wilson said that she still thinks about the situation and what she could have done differently.

“Why did I stay in that situation … with that awful guy?” she said. “I should have left. It wasn’t worth it. But at the same time, I was like, ‘Oh well, do the right thing, be a professional and finish the movie.’ Now I would never do that.

“I thought even complaining to my agency was a big step. And to complain to the studio. I found out I was like the fourth person to complain about the guy. Such gross behavior, but a lot of women have had it way worse.”

She added: “If it happened again, I would probably stand up for myself even more just because of the bravery of the other women that have stood up and now allowed me an opportunity,.”
