Lucy Liu Casted In The Next Film Starring Chris Evans And Dwayne Johnson. Lucy Liu has landed her next movie role alongside Marvel star Chris Evans and Black Adam’s Dwayne Johnson.
According to Deadline, the Kill Bill actress has joined Prime Video’s upcoming festive film Red One, which is described as as a “globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy”, though roles and specific plot details are being kept under wraps for the time being.
Jumanji’s Jake Kasdan is set to direct the film from a script penned by Chris Morgan, who is best known for his work on the Fast & Furious franchise.
It was also announced last week that the The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Kiernan Shipka has joined the cast.
“Hold my Mana, because this is exciting,” Johnson said when the film was first announced. “Our Seven Bucks is very bullish on our partnership with Amazon Studios; underpinned with some innovation, some pioneering and a lot of positive energy and passion.

Liu, known for her roles in Elementary and Charlie’s Angels, will next be seen playing a villain in the upcoming DC sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
She will play a Greek goddess called Kalypso, while Helen Mirren will play her sister Hespera. West Side Story’s Rachel Zegler will portray the goddess Athena.
The second Shazam film has been subject to multiple delays and was originally supposed to debut in April 2022, though it’s now slated for a March 2023 release.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods will be released on March 17, 2023. The first Shazam movie is available to stream on Prime Video UK.
