ENTERTAINMENT: Fazer, a member of N-Dubz, insists that the band will reunite “when the time is right.”

The ‘Playing with Fire’ group, which also included Tulisa and her cousin Dappy, went on indefinite hiatus in 2011, but the 35-year-old rapper has maintained that the door has always been open for them to reunite.

“We never said we’d never get back together, we always maintained we’d get back together at some point – it’s just about time,” Fazer claimed to the Daily Star’s WIRED column.

“We never said it was out of the question; we always thought it would return at some point.”

“Right now, there’s a lot of skepticism, but we’ll bring it back at some time,” says the author.

N-Dubz would not require a record label to make a comeback, according to Fazer, whose real name is Richard Rawson, because NFTs allow musicians to have complete control over their careers.

“When it comes to piracy and getting paid, NFTs are the way forward for artists; why would you ever sign to a record label?” he added.

“It’s the way forward for artists because it eliminates the need for a record company and instead places customers in a position to hypothetically become the record label.”

“They’re funding your careers, your videos, and everything else, and in exchange, they’ll have stakes in the percentages.”

He added: “Look at Tory Lanez recently, the song he released as the NFT made him the fastest artist in history to go platinum.

“He sold a million copies in less than 60 seconds, even if he was Michael Jackson, Madonna, no matter who you are it’s humanly impossible to do (on a normal label).

“It puts people in positions to build to be able to do amazing things in very short amounts of time.”

In 2011, the group planned to go on a two-year break, but never reformed.

N-Dubz’s last studio album was 2010’s ‘Love.Live.Life’.
