Reports by TMZ indicates that the vehicle Tjay was in was pulled over by Bronx cops and a search of the car revealed a firearm, leading to his arrest.

Lil Tjay and Ice Spice disclosed on their Instagram Stories that they will be shooting their music video today. While the former only revealed that filming would take place in New York, the latter provided the exact borough of the city, which may have helped authorities focus their search.

In recent months, things have improved for Tjay, who underwent emergency surgery last year after being shot seven times during an attempted robbery at a New Jersey mall. The Bronx native returned to music with the aptly titled “Beat the Odds,” which was accompanied by a music video that showed him recording vocals from his hospital bed.

He then released “Faceshot,” a freestyle in which he raps the classic “Many Men” from 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin Tracklist.
