Liverpool are in Amsterdam to face Ajax in the Champions League on Wednesday, looking to recover from Saturday’s loss to Nottingham Forest.
Thiago and Nunez missed that game and while Klopp confirmed that the former is still injured, there was good news about the Uruguayan striker.
Matip is still ruled out but Konate is ‘ready to play minutes’, German boss Klopp told reporters on Tuesday.
Matip and Konate have been absent from Liverpool’s last three matches – 1-0 victories over Manchester City and West Ham as well as the 1-0 defeat at Forest.

‘Darwin is good. He trained. Normally yesterday and today. In this moment he is available.
‘Thiago was not close. Is he a doubt for tomorrow? I hope not but who knows.
‘Ibou trained properly the first time yesterday. He wasn’t long out but he has a muscle thing. I’m not sure it makes sense for him to play 95 minutes.’

Klopp also gave an update on the fitness of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
‘Naby and Ox the same [as Konate]. [But] they aren’t in the Champions League squad because everybody told me they wouldn’t be ready [in time].’
Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk spoke just before Klopp and addressed the embarrassing defeat to Forest as well as the side’s poor start to the season.

‘I think what the manager said after the [Forest] game was we only had ourselves to blame,’ the Netherlands international said.
‘I should have scored, on another day they will go in. It was an intense six days. Wins v City, West Ham and then away game, early kick-off, we tried everything.
‘There are always reasons for why things aren’t going well. We try to sort it and do everything in our power, so that is what we do.
‘[Away form] is something we want to improve as a group. We will try to show the intensity we always want to show from tomorrow, we need that.
‘Every game is a difficult task and a different ask. We want to improve the away results and it starts tomorrow.
‘We want to show that we are Liverpool and one of the biggest around.’
