Robert Lewandowski Reportedly Has A £431m Release Clause In His Barcelona Contract. After scoring 344 goals in 375 appearances for Bayern Munich, Lewandowski left the German champions to join Barcelona earlier this summer in a £42.5m deal.

The Poland international has signed a four-year deal with the Catalan giants, which according to Marca, via The Mirror, contains a €500m (£431m) release clause.

Lewandowski is set to earn €10m (£8.6m) in his first year in Spain, while next season he will receive €13m (£11.2m) before that figure rises to €16m (£13.8m) the year after.

For the fourth season of his contract, the forward’s salary will return to €13m (£11.2m), while Barcelona have an option to terminate the last year of his deal if he appears in less than 55% of the club’s games in his third season.

Other details of Lewandowski’s deal have also been revealed, with the 34-year-old set to receive bonus payments if Barcelona win the Champions League or a La Liga title – or one of the two honours as well as the Copa del Rey.

Lewandowski has helped his new side begin the season with three wins and a draw after scoring five goals in the opening four La Liga games.
