Liverpool Are Expected To Be Without Jordan Henderson For Three Weeks Due To A Hamstring Injury. The Liverpool captain featured in all of the club’s opening five Premier League fixtures before being forced off in the 2-1 win over Newcastle United.

As a result of the injury sustained in the Newcastle clash, Henderson could not play any part in Saturday’s goalless Merseyside derby.

Although Jurgen Klopp previously felt that the injury was “serious”, a scan has revealed that the England international has suffered a minor hamstring strain.

Henderson is still set to be sidelined for a minimum of three weeks, ensuring that he misses Liverpool’s Champions League opener against Napoli on Tuesday.
