Rohr drags Nigeria to FIFA, demands $1million. Gernot Rohr, a former head coach of Nigeria, has taken the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to FIFA and is awaiting a decision on a $1 million compensation claim for unfair dismissal, according to BBC Africa.

Rohr was fired in December, only weeks before Cameroon hosted the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Rohr drags Nigeria to FIFA, demands $1million. With his appointment in August 2016, the German is the Super Eagles’ longest-serving coach.

The NFF agreed to pay Rohr’s salary until the conclusion of his contract, which runs in December 2022, but he has now filed a claim with FIFA for further damages.

The NFF disputed that assertion, and a FIFA panel investigating Rohr’s claim for damages finished last week.

However, a decision has yet to be reached.
