According to Deadline, the 24-year-old actress will star opposite Soo Joo Park, Brock O’Hurn, Laird Hamilton, and Duke Nicholson in the dark comedy.
Tony Kaye is directing the film, which is based on a scenario by Vito Schnabel and Jeff Solomon.
‘The Trainer’ has been in the works for over a decade and is based on Vito’s original story.
The film follows a Los Angeles fitness instructor who attempts to achieve fame and money by pursuing his own version of the American Dream.
For the time being, though, specifics about the new cast members’ roles are being kept under wraps.
On the Disney Channel sitcom ‘Shake It Up,’ Bella soared to notoriety.
However, she has admitted to accepting the gig since her family was in desperate need of cash at the time.
“The reason we took ‘Shake It Up’ in the first place was because we were about to be homeless,” she explained.
“It wasn’t really a choice, but I did turn off the channel at 15.” So I wasn’t even on it for very long. But I’d just done drama before that.”
Her appearance in the sitcom, on the other hand, hurt her career prospects.
“Coming from the Disney channel, a lot of casting directors said, ‘I’m not going to read her,'” she explained. ‘What?’ I exclaimed. Is it just because I’m on Disney Channel?’
“So there were a few auditions where I came up, 15 years old, and said, ‘You have to read me.'” I’ve arrived. Please let me do the first scene, and I’ll show you why the second scene is worth seeing.’
