Former Senate President Bukola Saraki praised the Super Eagles for their impressive performance against Ghana’s Black Stars.
Saraki made the remarks following Nigeria’s 0-0 tie with Ghana on Friday night.
Remember that the Super Eagles held the Black Stars to a goalless draw in the first leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff in Kumasi on Friday.
Austine Eguavoen’s team was unlucky not to overcome Ghana after missing several golden opportunities during the match.
Saraki challenged the Super Eagles to perform at their best against the Black Stars in Ahuja on Tuesday.
“Strong performance by our @NGSuperEagles!” he tweeted.
“Let’s finish this on Tuesday, when we have home advantage!”
On Tuesday, Nigeria is slated to meet Ghana in a rematch at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
The victor of the two matches will advance to the 2022 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar later this year.
