Pam & Tommy, a new Hulu drama starring Lily James as Anderson and Sebastian Stan as her musician ex-husband Tommy Lee, was based on the Nineties controversy.
Anderson initially refused to comment on the show, which premiered on February 2, but has recently broken her silence by introducing her own new series.
Trump news – live: The ex-president and his lawyer have been charged with attempting to rig the 2020 election results through criminal means.
The former Baywatch star penned a handwritten statement, which was posted to Netflix’s official Twitter account. “My life/ a thousand flaws/ a million misunderstandings/ Wicked, wild, and lost/ Nothing to live up to/ I can only surprise you /Not a victim, but a survivor /And living to tell the true story,” it said.
Anderson’s son Brandon Thomas Lee, who works on the movie as a producer, shared the statement on Instagram, emphasizing the term “The genuine story,” as did her younger son Dylan Jagger Lee.
Exclusive access to Anderson, as well as historical material and her personal notebooks, will be featured in the documentary, which has been in the works for several years before becoming linked with Netflix.
The project is described as “an intimate picture immersed in Pamela Anderson’s life as she looks back on her professional and personal path and prepares for the next steps on her journey” in the film’s logline.
A release date has not yet been set.
