After taking over from John Barrowman, who was fired, the former Strictly star has become quite a hit on the show.
The 31-year-old professional dancer wowed ITV executives with her “positive energy and kindness,” and fans adored her contribution to the figure skating competition.
“Oti has been requested to return for next year,” a source told The Sun in an exclusive interview. She’s been a big success.
“Oti is already a part of the Dancing on Ice family since she blends in so well.”
They mentioned how Oti’s “infectious attitude” and “full of good vibes” make her an ideal fit for the event.
The news comes weeks after rumors circulated that Oti would be “too busy” to return to Strictly Come Dancing, where she previously appeared as a professional dancer.
In 2020, she created Strictly history as the first professional dancer to win the award two years in a row.
In 2020, she won with Bill Bailey, and a year before that, she won with Kelvin Fletcher, a former Emmerdale star.
According to the source, it’s unclear whether Oti will return to Strictly, but she’ll always have “passion” for the BBC show after her triumph on it.
After a long line of TV appearances, they teased that 2022 will be “busy” for the professional dancer, and that dance courses will keep her on her toes for the next few months.
Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, and Ashley Banjo will join Oti on the ITV judging panel.
Many DOI viewers have turned to Twitter to express their gratitude for Oti’s inspiring contribution to the hit show.
“Dancing On Ice feels a lot better this series not sure why?” one fan and follower tweeted. …… Maybe it’s Oti Mabuse’s influence #DOI.”
“Oti is totally killing it as a judge!” wrote another. She’s a breath of fresh air.”
