Regina Daniels, a popular Nollywood actress, has spoken out about the feud between her husband, Ned Nwoko, and aphrodisiac vendor Hauwa Saidu Mohammed, AKA Jaruma.
Ned Nwoko is said to have arrested Jaruma and taken her to court for defamation of character.
Jaruma was remanded at Suleja prison by the FCT Upper Court.
Regina Daniels wrote on her Instagram page that her friendship with Jaruma was strained when the ‘Kayanmata’ vendor refused to remove a post accusing her of being the source of a family conflict at the time.
Remember how Jaruma claimed that Regina Daniels’ use of her product caused Nwoko’s marriage to Laila to fall apart?
The actress, however, denied using the items, stating she was only paid to promote them.
“When Miss Jaruma erroneously said to the broader world that I was the reason of a significant crisis in my family, I went ahead and messaged her to take down the post, but she didn’t.”
Jaruma’s arrest, according to the actress, had nothing to do with the commercial transaction they both had.
She emphasized that Jaruma was detained and charged with making false and malicious statements about her husband.
“Please keep in mind that Jaruma’s petition, arrest, and detention have nothing to do with our business relationship. However, it arose solely as a result of the numerous false and spiteful publications made about my husband.
“I’m writing because I believe you all deserve an explanation for the widespread misconception going on about me being paid for a work that I couldn’t complete.” “The fact is, based on our different discussions, I delivered on the job,” she added.
Meanwhile, the court has scheduled a hearing on Jaruma’s bail application for today, Friday, January 28.
