Timaya, a popular Nigerian singer, has warned Nigerians to be aware of evil in society, warning that even their closest friends could be used for money rituals.
Timaya was reacting to rumors that adolescent lads in Ogun State had slaughtered a lover and burned her skull for a money ritual.
On Saturday, the 360MEDIA reported that a teen boy was found burning the head of a girl who was alleged to be in a relationship with one of them for money rite in the Oke Aregba area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Soliu allegedly enticed the girl into his apartment, held her down, and requested one of his buddies to slay her with a knife.
Timaya responded to the tragic occurrence with a tweet on his Twitter profile on Saturday evening, writing: “17 years old boys practicing money ritual?? Even your own homeboy can use you to slaughter innocent people for money.
“Guys, be careful, it’s really cold outside.”
