Cristiano Ronaldo has opted to extend his stay at Manchester United for another season.

Ronaldo believes that Man United’s management will choose a world-class manager this summer to replace Ralf Rangnick, who was appointed on an interim basis, according to Spanish publication AS.

The Portugal captain remains dedicated to the Red Devils, opting to complete the final year of his contract next season.

Following the club’s Champions League exit at the hands of Atletico Madrid, the 37-year-old was said to be evaluating his future at the club.

Since the turn of the year, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner had put in some less-than-stellar performances, and there were even rumors that Rangnick was considering removing him.

Last summer, Ronaldo returned to Manchester United after leaving Juventus.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino of PSG and Erik ten Hag of Ajax are the two leading candidates to succeed Rangnick, however, Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has suddenly emerged as a viable alternative due to the Blues’ problems.
