Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has stated that they, along with their North London rivals Arsenal, will need a “miracle” from Manchester United to finish in the Premier League top four.
Spurs are currently in fifth place, three points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, with the weekend ahead of them.
They may, though, overtake their north London rivals if they beat Newcastle United on Sunday, with Arsenal hosting Crystal Palace on Monday.
Despite being in the mix, Conte thinks that finishing in the top four will be “very, very difficult.”
“It’s essential to highlight that this aim is very, very difficult,” he stated at a press conference today when questioned about Spurs’ ambitions of finishing in the top four. We aren’t the only ones that wish to do this.
